Pre-Order Modes define how customers reserve and pay for pre-order products. Choose the mode that matches your sales strategy.

Available modes

Pay Now
Customers pay the full price at checkout.

  1. Pay Later
    Customers reserve now and pay the full amount later (based on your settings).

  2. Deposit / Partial Payment (Pro)
    Customers pay a deposit upfront and the balance later.

  3. (If your plugin version includes a 4th specific mode)
    Explain it in one line as shown in your settings.

How to select a mode

Edit the product.

  1. Go to Product Data → Pre-Orders.

  2. Pick the mode from Pre-Order Mode dropdown.

  3. Update the product.

Expected result:
Checkout shows the correct payment flow and labels for that mode.

Common issues

  • Mode not available
    Some modes are Pro-only. Confirm your plan.

  • Wrong mode applied
    Check product-level settings override global defaults.
